Dress for Success

Dress for Success Sydney is a registered charity that improves the employability of women in need by providing, free of charge, professional clothing, a network of support and the career development tools to help women achieve self-sufficiency.

Many of Dress for Success Sydney’s clients have been out of work for a long time.  Some may have never had a job, while others may be coming out of prison or detox programmes, or may be recently arrived skilled migrants to Australia.

Dress for Success Sydney has over 700 active volunteers, who deliver styling and career support services to clients in Marrickville, correctional centres and greater-Sydney locations. Volunteers also manage stock, pack parcels of clothing to send to women in rural and regional areas, run fundraising events and contribute to various board sub-committees.

Volunteering at Dress for Success Sydney is a rewarding experience, where volunteers have the opportunity to work with clients to help them achieve success in their lives and meet other like-minded women along the way.
