Legal Resources
Justice Connect produces legal resources covering a range of common areas of concern for volunteer-engaging, not-for-profit organisations. The r resources:
- help volunteer organisations understand the implications of the law for their volunteer management practices and policies
- assist volunteer-engaging organisations assess legal risks of their volunteer programs
- improve the ability of volunteer organisations to explain the law to their volunteers.

Engaging volunteers
- Watch Justice Connect’s webinar explaining how to draft a great volunteer agreement.
- Download a National Volunteer Guide which provides an overview of the key legal obligations you will encounter with helpful practical examples and templates to assist you.
- Complete the Working with Volunteers self-help tool. After answering a series of questions, you’ll be provided with a report containing an overview of the legal issues and recommendations.
