This report card reflects our ongoing commitment to ensuring that we inspire others, share our stories, work in partnership, improve our knowledge, promote the benefits and impact of volunteering, and invest in it.
Our strategy is a commitment to the importance and impact of volunteering.
The investments made by the NSW Government will be responsive to emerging trends, they will be creative and volunteer-centred.
Our investments will assist the sector to build its leadership capacity, to be agile and forward-thinking.
Creation of a NSW Volunteering Taskforce to address the needs of volunteers, volunteering involved organisations and the sector as a whole
NSW Volunteering Website and NSW Volunteer Recruitment Portal – an ongoing partnership with SEEK Volunteer.
Ongoing support and sponsorship of the Centre for Volunteering to implement the conference.
Working in collaboration and expanding sector networks, building active relationships across the sector.
Launch of the 2021 State of Volunteering Report in partnership with the Centre for Volunteering, to better understand sector impact, scale, value and needs.
Creation of a NSW Volunteering Taskforce to address the needs of the sector.
Research to better understand volunteering activities in and by CALD Communities.
Sharing of content and resources to ensure information needed by the sector is up to date and relevant.
Sponsorship and support of the Centre for Volunteering’s NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards 2020 -2021 and 2021 – 2022.
Sponsorship of the Sports NSW Community Sports Awards in 2021 and 2022.
Ongoing promotion and awareness of volunteering opportunities through a social media campaign in 2022.
Case studies highlighting the value and benefits of volunteering across diverse volunteer involving organisations and communities.
The next report card update will be due June 2024 and will cover the period of 2022-2023 and 2023 – 2024.
