Celebrating Student Volunteering

This competition celebrates the contribution of student volunteers. Students are invited to share their experiences for the chance to win $1000.

In 2015, Minister for Multiculturalism John Ajaka encouraged students to promote their volunteering achievements during a visit to Western Sydney University where he launched the Celebrating Student Volunteering Competition, part of the  Shape Your Future NSW campaign to mobilise student volunteers.
Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, develop social awareness and connect with the community.
Students were invited to submit an image that describes an experience of celebrating student volunteering.
The competition sought the best representations of celebrating and promoting student volunteering to other younger volunteers.
All students, secondary and above, were invited to participate and receive acknowledgement for their volunteering. Entrants were asked to:
  1. Create an image with a 25 word caption that describes your experience of celebrating student volunteering.
  2. Post their captioned images to the Shape Your Future NSWFacebook wall.
The competition closed 30 October 2015, with p rizes awarded in two categories:
Students in secondary education Students aged over 18 years 
$1,000 First Prize
$500 Second Prize
$250 Third Prize
$1,000 First Prize
$500 Second Prize
$250 Third Prize
